While the Honda Fit/Jazz doesn’t have the adjustability of earlier double wishbone/multi-link Civics, some small tweaks to parts and geometry can result in large dynamic improvements. Here is Honed’s receipe for suspension success on the GE8-generation.
GEOMETRY
- Ride height: 290-275mm (hub to apex of guard)
- OE front lower ball joint
- Honed strut top to increase caster and camber – LINK
- Camber bolts for maximum knuckle adjustment
SPRINGS & DAMPERS
- Front springs: 6kg/mm (results in ~2Hz suspension frequency)
- Rear springs: 6kg/mm (results in 2.2Hz suspension frequency)
- Dampers to suit spring rates
ANTI-ROLL BARS
- Stock front bar
- Aftermarket rear bar 16mm diameter or similar
WHEEL ALIGNMENT
- Front camber: -3.5-4.5°
- Front caster: +2-2.5°
- Front toe: 0°
- Rear camber: Not adjustable
- Rear toe: +2 (in)-0°
This is applicable to second-generation Honda Fit/Jazz models. Where a range is given it is listed from conservative to aggressive and should be selected based on tyre and driver preference.
