The two main drivers of this control arm design are:
- That the shape of the arm didn’t prematurely limit bump travel
- That the ball joint position cannot slip or lose its position
That’s how we ended up with a compact arm and shim-style adjustment. There is a compromise in terms of the ease of adjustment; these arms require the camber to be checked and then shims added or removed, and then the camber to be re-checked, and this process may take a few iterations until you reach your target camber values. However, this is not something that you need to do regularly.
